Hans for WindStream Cover Dog!!

Published by Michael Smith under Uncategorized

Hey All! Noah’s needs your help. One of the guide dogs NOAH’s placed has been nominated to be on the new Windstream phone book cover. Hans was placed as a guide dog with Kay Konz in Lincoln Nebraska, who is visually impaired. Please take a second to vote!

So far there are almost 500 dogs entered. The winner of the cash prize will be chosen based on number of votes, but the phone company still gets to decide which dog to place on the cover of the phone book.

Since Hans needs allergy and other medications, it would be so helpful for Hans’ to win the cash prize for veterinary bills and to buy him a lifetime supply of Frisbees and tennis balls, which last about ten minutes each with him.

The link below should get you to his page, or he was entered by the name Hans, on July 8, if you have to hunt for him. you can even bookmark the page and go back every day until about Aug. 6 to vote for him. You can vote once per day for five different dogs.

And for those who REALLY want Hans to win, forward this on to your friends!!

Thanks!!

More information on this trip can be seen in the June 2008 Newsletter.

On the way back to their homes in Nebraska, they were requested to stop at Schuyler Nebraska to work with responders to the floods there.

Upcoming Events:

Annual Garage Sale: It’s Spring Again! Time to dig through those attics, basements, and closets to clean out all of the cobwebs and unwanted items!!! NOAH’S Assistance Dogs will be holding our annual Spring Cleaning Garage Sale April 26th and we need donated items for the sale. If you are needing to get rid of anything that is in clean, usable condition (maybe just a little out of style) please think of us!!!

We accept all donations, please no large appliances (we have no way to haul extremely large items that do not sell). Furniture, clothing, figurines, collectibles, working electronics, dishes, etc. Anything that you have to get rid of, we will use!

Last year, our garage sale was a great success and we hope to continue that tradition this year by making this one even better! We are currently looking for grant funding to match the total that we make in this year’s garage sale, and like last year, we have a big goal!!!

All proceeds from this garage sale help support the dogs that we have in training for guide and service work. Each dog can cost our organization upwards of $15,000-$20,000 to train and place. We try to keep the cost minimal to all applicants, and to do this, we rely on support from people like you!

Please contact us for more information, drop off times/ locations, we will be taking donations up until the beginning of the garage sale and all donations can be dropped off here at the center. Please e-mail or call us and we can make arrangements.
